Star Stitch knitting pattern with chart and written instructions

I’ve been asked for the lace pattern I am using to knit my Christmas Comforter. I don’t feel like doing a lot of talking, so – here you go. It’s very easy, quick and effective, and as you can see, perfect for bulky yarn čÖé

Pattern is worked over 6 stitches + additional 2 stitches for edges.

  • k – knit;
  • YO – yarn over;
  • k2tog – knit 2 together;
  • ssk – slip, slip, knit together;
  • sk2p – slip 1 knitwise, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over;
  • G – slip 1 knitwise, knit front and back into next stitch, knit 1, pass 1st stitch over 3 stitches you worked last;

Row 1: k1, (YO, sk2p, YO, G) repeat to last stitch, k;
Row 2: purl;
Row 3: YO, (ssk, k1, k2tog, YO, k1, YO) repeat to last 2 stitches, ssk;
Row 4: purl;
Row 5: k1, (G, YO, sk2p, YO) repeat to last stitch, k;
Row 6: purl;
Row 7: k2tog, (YO, k1, YO, ssk, k1, k2tog) repeat to end, YO;
