Today I’ve got a knitting pattern from Christmas past. Sadly, I didn’t find what year it was, so I can’t tell you any history behind that time. But I can tell you that I loved knitting it.
It isn’t too hard and it wasn’t boringly easy. I will most certainly use it somewhere. I think it would be nice on a shawl or on a pair of gloves.
I think this pattern reminds me of “Pattern from history – 1986”. That was lace and cables also.
Pattern repeat is 13 stitches + 9 stitches for symmetry.
Row 1: (p2, k5) rep to last 2 sts, p2;
Rows 2, 4, 6, 8: (k2, p5) rep to last 2 sts, k2;
